Tue Mar 22 21:08:01 EST 2005 Steve Bennett This ftpd is a severely hacked up version of inetutils ftpd from the uClinux distribution with the file access mechanisms replaces with appropriate libtopfield invocations. Currently there is no authentication (anonymous access only). There is one site command, turbo, which toggles the turbo setting. I run it as ftpd -D -P 2021 and then connect via lftp: $ lftp ftp://myhost:2021/ Because of the way the Topfield USB protocol works, only a single client is accepted at any one time. Some other things you may find useful ------------------------------------- - As of 0.6.2 you can upgrade the firmware by changing to the /firmware directory and sending a .tfd file - Use the --eplf command line option to enable EPLF listing mode if your ftp clients support it (lftp does) - Use the remote 'stat' command to see the disk space free and some other settings. lftp tonto:/DataFiles> quote stat 211- localhost.localdomain FTP server status: ftpd (Topfield ftpd) 0.6.2 Connected to ganges.riverstone.dyndns.org (192.168.1.2) Logged in anonymously HDD Free 17283072 kiB 16878 MiB 16 GiB HDD Total 117219328 kiB 114472 MiB 111 GiB Turbo mode is DISABLED TYPE: ASCII, FORM: Nonprint; STRUcture: File; transfer MODE: Stream No data connection 211 End of status - Use the TURBO command to enable, disable or toggle turbo mode for the current session lftp tonto:/> site turbo 1 200 TURBO is now on - Use the --turbo option to enable turbo mode by default
